• Represented an F&B company in a RM 1.2M lawsuit by its supplier involving a sham moneylending transaction.

• Secured a RM 1M default judgment for a shareholder in a lawsuit involving a breach of share sale agreement, and successfully resisted the defendant's application to set it aside.

• Secured a 6-figure judgment for Vietnamese shareholders in a lawsuit involving a breach of share sale agreement.
 

• Secured 6-figure judgments for a cargo airline and tunnelling company against former employees for breach of training bond agreement.

 

• Secured a 6-figure judgment for a home buyer against a developer for late delivery of vacant possession.


• Successfully defended a Singaporean deep shaft construction company against lawsuits by sub-contractors and successfully negotiated multiple settlements.

• Acted for a nominee director in setting aside a Judgment-in-Default and Bankruptcy Notice on the grounds of forgery of her signature on a letter of guarantee, leveraging alibi evidence and forensic document examination.

• Acted for a luxury goods retailer in a contentious demand against a major telecommunications company involving gross negligence in operating post-merger systems and handling of MNP process, leading to wrongful termination and reassignment of mobile number, erroneous billings, and complete breakdown of customer resolution process.

• Recovered 6-figure damages for an event manager, kitchen designer, industrial blasting equipment manufacturer, and fast food restaurant through lawsuits against former employees involving fraud, conspiracy and embezzlement.

• Defended a property manager against a lawsuit by a joint management body involving negligence and embezzlement of maintenance account and sinking fund by management staff.

04. Corporate Governance Disputes

• Secured a Fortuna Injunction to restrain a former director from proceeding with a winding-up petition against a printing company, while pursuing a conflict-of-interest claim on the company's behalf against that former director.

​

• Represented a minority shareholder of a paper manufacturing and energy company in a conflict of interest dispute with its directors, and in an application for a statutory injunction to compel the directors to complete 4 years of audited financial statements.

​

• Successfully requisitioned an extraordinary general meeting for the removal of directors on behalf of a minority shareholder of a jetty operator company, and subsequently acted for the company in a lawsuit for the avoidance of substantial and interested transactions by its former directors.

• Represented a chemical manufacturing group of companies in a lawsuit involving common law derivative action, conspiracy, tortious interference, breach of directors' duties, and third party liabilities (accessory and recipient liability) - including an application to set aside a search and seizure order obtained ex-parte.

 

• Advised a welfare trust foundation, a major shareholder of an oil palm plantation company, concerning mismanagement and misappropriation of assets by company directors.

• Advised a minority shareholder of a venture capital firm on just and equitable winding up and oppression remedies.

​

• Successfully defended former employees of an oil & gas company against an application to summon them for public examination post-winding up.

• Acted for an engineering firm in its application to the High Court for an order to reinstate the name of its company that was struck off the SSM register with assets worth over RM 3M. 

• Acted for an executive director and minority shareholder of an industrial standby power system company in resisting a statutory injunction application by the non-executive director and majority shareholder, including applying for leave to defend in the name and on behalf of the company via statutory derivative proceedings.
